My sweetheart of a husband recently bought a laptop so that I would always have a computer to use. He said it was for me but I think he did it in self defense so that he could get on the computer once in a while without having to armwrestle me for it!!!

I bought myself the nightshirt and got the boxers at the Atlanta concert and made myself a pillowcase with his pictures on it as a Christmas present to myself, all wrapped up, I'm pretending it is from my kids. They're going to say "Motherrrrr!". I'll be all wrapped up in Clayheaven to go to sleep and have sweet dreams of our gorgeous guy.

My family thinks I'm nuts but they do indulge my addiction and go with me to all the concerts I attend. I even dress my son like Clay and he lets me most of the time (if I pay for the clothes). Addicted yes and boy is it fun!!!! Clay is definitely the best addiction ever!!!!

My son is Clay's age and he keeps telling me that I need to get a life. He is seriously thinking about having me committed. I have clay's picture all over my bedroom, computer screensaver, wallpaper, christmas ornament, shirts, programs, several cd's, his book, you name it. I drove 4 hours to Lowell, Ma by myself to see his JNT. Absolutely wonderful and totally worth the trip. Very long day but worth it. He has brought so much joy and happiness to my life, I'm not a bit upset that I'm addicted. I check the clayboards about 5 times a day at work, or whenever I can get a way with it. I'm on them at least 1-2 hours at night. It is what makes me happy, isn't that what life is all about. God Bless Clay for coming into our lives. Barb

Everyone I know thinks I'm crazy..no matter how hard I try...give CD's, tell them about his foundation, Unicef, etc..I never can seem to clayvert anyone...at work they tell me I have to get a life...(believe me I have one with full-time job, hubby, 2 kids, 1 dog, 2 cats, 2 houses, etc - real life doesn't leave me enough time for the Claytime I really want!) A friend actually wanted to come to the Oakdale concert with me...I was excited and we had a great time...today my son told me that she told him that she had an OK time but she thinks it's crazy that old ladies are falling all over for this guy...I'm 51, so I guess I'm one of those old ladies...kind of depressed about that...that's why I have to come here to find others that understand... of course I don't completely understand either...I've learned to make CD's and that is all I listen to...his old stuff, new stuff, concert stuff with fans screaming and him talking...take the long way home to listen to one more song...can't wait for everyone to get to bed so I can come on the board, or watch a video/montage, etc....my understanding hubby though got me a beautiful frame for my favorite poster (from the Independent Tour) and a DVD burner for Xmas...can't wait to figure out how to use that! I absolutely adore the guy...sometimes in a motherly way ...(sometimes not so motherly!?)...don't know why...I guess it is good since it makes me smile knowing that there is someone special like him in the world... (sorry this got so long!!)

Sometimes that motherly feeling overwhelms and I just want to take care of him and other times, well you know, I don't think I need to go there. Let's just say my dreams have been a lot hotter than they used to be. Never before have I felt this connected to a celebrity. It's like he has some kind of spell that comes over me. I've never had the opportunity to meet him or even get close to him but I'm not even sure I could handle it. How weird is that! He is one unbelieveable addiction.

I thought surely MCWL would do it, but nope!! So this 60 year old grandmother just enjoys a secret life on the boards, and smiles all the time now. And as for the conflicting feelings we sometimes have for Clay, it seems to me that he is ageless. Since for me it will always be fantasy anyway, I am 26 again sometimes.

Posts: 923 (12/24/04 6:23 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	My short answer is yes!My long answer is yes,I'm addicted to finding out whether Clay got home safely for Christmas,when he's working on his new cd,if he's going to do any booksignings in the city I live in-Evansville.I've calmed down with the magazine buying just for pics and out of context quotes...I would like to see another huge article about him like in Time or People or Newsweek.I guess I'm addicted to finding out more about him.I love his voice,and I love what he represents-his values,humility,humor,work ethic,etc.He's not a "perfect person",as he always points out.Keeping up with him thru tv,interviews,and this message board is kind of like keeping up with a family member who's become successful.He's become sort of like a family member after watching him on AI2 and now seeing his post AI2 success.From what I've seen he's consistent in everything he does.Success hasn't changed him and he's making sure he's not the kind of celebrity sitting around collecting bling and big cars-he's the real deal!That's why I love him so much!

In all seriousness though, even though I love him for all the right reasons...his faith, morals, integrity, gorgeous voice, kindness, sense of humor, respect...and on and on....etc, I wish I wasn't so addicted...its fun and I cant wait to check whats new but I almost feel like Im too emotionally invested...too much time on the computer...too much time playing music, too much time thinking of him...recording him..etc...I wish he didn't have my heart just quite so much . Boy would my house be CLEAN!!!! HA HA! And just to set the record straight, you guys are the only ones I'd admit this too. People who don't get it, just don't get it. My husband "gets it" but probably wishes I invested all this energy into him. Ha!!!!

I just put "the pants of perfection" wallpaper up (how incredible). I was rearranging my icons to get them out of Clay's way. My 8 year old son walked in and said a bit sarcastically "Nice desktop mom, when you're not admiring Clay what exactly do you do down here?" Unfortunately, I had no answer because that's about it lately.
