Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Tags : None I discovered this after searching why youtube keeps saying I am using IE7 and that they won't support it soon and to update. Well I am using IE9 so that made no sense. Through google I found some forum posts saying not to be in the compatibility view mode while in youtube and the message will go away! Well that got me to thinking - will that work for OFC? I had not been able to see half the screen in OFC so have been using Google Chrome while there. Anyway, after unchecking the compatibility view command - I can now view the OFC properly in IE9! Do this if you have IE and OFC does not display properly for you - works like a charm! Now I can use Google Chrome or Internet Explore to browse OFC! While in IE, go to Tools. If the Compatibility View squiggly sheet of paper is not grayed out, click it to get out of compatibility view mode. If it's grayed out and you can't click it, then go to "Compatibility View Settings." There you can uncheck "Display all websites in Compatibility view." ================================ ETA - I think all you need to do to view OFC correctly is to go straight to the Compatibility View Settings and uncheck Display all websites in Compatibility view. That way Yuku will remain in the compatibility view mode but not all websites. Hope I am making sense. Last Edited By: nicki503 07/13/12 7:53 AM. Edited 2 times.

Reply Quote More Recent Posts	MK, I think it's a sporadic problem with people. When I had IE7, I had no problems viewing OFC. Then after my pc crashed and I had it in for repair, they upgraded it to IE9 and since then I could only see half of a page with the bottom half being green so I had to d/l Google Chrome and use that when browsing around on OFC. Out of curiousity, is your IE9 already set not to view in the capatibility view mode? That may be why you have been able to view OFC alright.

Yes it's unchecked and I just added yuku to the list. Maybe that will help with the problems I've been having c&ping and links etc.

I just started having real trouble with yuku after I added it so I removed it again. I want to go back to the beginning of PCs when everything was so simple.

Go to Help at the top of your Windows screen, then click on "About Windows Explorer." It will tell you which version you have. Now about that compatibility view thing. When I quoted your post - it went all weird like some who quote and their response ends up within the quote too. So, I went to Tools and clicked Compatibility View and then I could quote you right here on CB. Then I went into OFC to see if I could still view it and I could. Soooooooooooooo, the trick to view OFC is to make sure the "Display all websites in compatibility view" is NOT checked in the Compatibility View Settings section. And, for me anyway, I do have Yuku in the list there to be in the Compatibiltiy mode so things work right here.

Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Remember when you go into some sites, you might need it so I think the trick is that last box - the one where you don't want all websites to be in the compatibility view mode. I sure am glad I stumbled on that. It is wasn't for crazy youtube saying I was on IE7, I would have never figured that one out! You find the oddest things by accident sometimes.

Nicki503........I checked and I have IE 8, however this weeks chat I had no problems whatsoever and your last paragraph speaking of the trik to view OFC confuses me...."display all websites in compatibility view" - - do I do that in IE or in OFCC and if it's in OFC - - where is it? I used IE for this weeks chat, forgetting that I had previously downloaded for the purpose of the chat GOOGLE CHROME, just was so excited and nervous totally forgot to pull up GOOGLE CHROME, but like I said, I had no problems that night at all. But explain the part I'm not understand - - here on my puter in IE or at OFC an if at OFC - - where? Thanks so much or your help!! Judy

Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Judy - this is really meant to get the fan club forums to appear right more than the chat. Some like me, could see only the top of the screen and then the rest was green. To answer your question, it doesn't matter what site you are on when you do it as long as you are in IE. You go to Tools (look to the right at the top of your windows screen) and then follow the instrucions in this visual. Click on "Compatibility View settings" and then when the pop up window appears, look at the bottom and you will see, "Display all websites in Compatibilty View." Make sure that is NOT checked.
