Posts: 57030 05/15/11 1:33 AM Still The One Reply Quote More Recent Posts	everyone I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I sure am! I did pick up my new glasses today, but that is about it. Oh, I did take a nap with my kitties. They really liked that. It started raining about an hour ago. Now I won't have to water the lawn Annie and Paty, is is raining down in Southern California? I am actually enjoying spending time over at FB. I love the Family Feud game and seeing people there. I actually caught up with an ex sister in law and we chatted about her family. I also met up with a couple of childhood friends, one of which I hadn't talked to in 20 years. I am lkin FB more now than I was before. I also like visiting with Marti, Annie, Patty and Lacy there. I have also gotten to talk with Gary and Janet quite often. We are planning our camping trips for this summer. Ialso get to see lots of pictures of Tami and Lisa and their children. Thanks for all the pictures, especially the group pictures of the TRL sisters. Many are people who used to post all the time, and I don't like to admit it, but, although I can remember them, I can't remember some of their names. I did, however, remember one of those you were asking the name of. Rita is someone you were asking about in one of the pictures.... She's sitting in front of Windstar. I got on to Facebook since you all are on it. I don't know my around there at all, but I'll check in once in a while. I got e-mails from many of you asking if I want to be friends. Is there a way to know for sure that it was sent by you? I hesitate so much to click on e-mails when I'm not sure if it's from the person themselves. If I become a friend, what does that mean? Does it mean that I have access to read more on the person's page? And how do I find the games you're all talking about? There must be more to Facebook than I've been able to see so far. --------------------- I read at Mass last evening and then sang at Mass this morning. The church this morning was filled with people. 25 second graders received their First Communion, 6 teens had a short ceremony to do with their upcoming Confirmation later this week, and it was our Pastor's birthday. Being in the choir and high up in the choir loft, we had the best seats in the church to be able to see everything going on. I just enjoyed singing so much. And we did a lot of singing. I was talking to the choir director afterward, and I may start singing psalms solo in the front of the church this summer. A young woman singer, the woman who took my place when I couldn't sing the first time I planned to sing a few weeks ago, is getting married and leaving the area. She was relied on a lot to sing solo, she is probably the best singer. So, her leaving will definitely create a need for someone else to sing solo. I am not at the point where I could ever sing all that she sang at the Mass, but the choir director told me that if I could sing the psalm, that is what is most important to be sung in the front of the church, and he would help in covering the rest of what is usually sung. I'm really excited about singing, especially when I am learning that I definitely would be helping with the need for another person to sing solo in front of the church. Usually, when you sing at the Mass where I would be singing, the choir sings parts of it with you from the choir loft, but this summer I would be singing without the choir as the choir as a group takes a break from singing over the summer, I guess with people taking vacations and being away. The choir director talked about making up the schedule soon.....yikes, is he going to put me on the schedule? I thought I would do this every so often, but I think maybe he's going to schedule me as a regular psalmist. If so, I'm kind of nervous about it and thrilled at the same time. I thought there was something new wrong with my car again today too. Can I even count on my car getting me there when I need to be? It's one thing after another with that car. I thought about it, and somehow, some way, I'm going to get there when I need to be there, if at all possible. Walking, rides, whatever it takes. I want to sing so much. I'm just hoping that the new problem with the car is part of something I'm already taking my car in for tomorrow. Oh well, I sure don't lead a dull life, that's for sure. ___________________ I'm pretty sure today was the day that Suzy was getting ready for ..... to run in the Pittsburgh marathon; I'm pretty sure she said she was running the half-marathon. I saw coverage of it on the Pittsburgh channel today. Go Suzy..... I hope you did well in the race today! Judy

That group picture you asked about - the first one....that's Jay (Joan) in the plaid shirt, Rita in the skirt and the tall one in lavendar is Michelle!!!! Remember her? She's the one who wanted the banana picture!!!!! HaHaHa - do you have that picture, Kathy?????? The picture on the couch - Jay to the left of me and Rita to the right of Shar. I still get so choked up seeing Shar - such wonderful memories.....such a heartbreaking loss I never did get back last weekend with my news - my daughter Kelly finally sold her house and will be moving to NC in June....to a little town not far from Raleigh ..... Fuquay-Varina!!! And my son Adam's getting engaged this summer - a 3rd grade teacher, Jess - a beautiful woman, inside and out!!! Coltin loves her! We're all very happy for them both! Looking at a 2012 Summer Wedding! As for me, I'm retiring December 30, 2011. My school's being torn down this summer and a new building going up....so for 2 yrs, we'll have a temporary school in one of the Catholic schools in town (they've consolidated for the coming school year)...the same school I went to for grades 1 - 5, St, Joseph's.....and all my kids went there!!!! Imagine retiring from the same building that I entered 1st grade back in the 50's!!!!! WOW!!!!! Hubby's waiting to watch the Survivor Finale. LOVE to all!

Fuquay-Varina!!! And my son Adam's getting engaged this summer - a 3rd grade teacher, Jess - a beautiful woman, inside and out!!! Coltin loves her! We're all very happy for them both! Looking at a 2012 Summer Wedding! I am so happy that Adam has found someone and Coltin liking her is a plus That is great they are looking forward to getting maried next summer I know it is going to be hard with Kelly leaving in June, but I know youwill still see her and living next to Raliegh is definitely a plus Imagine retiring from the same building that I entered 1st grade back in the 50's!!!!! WOW!!!!! Wow, starting school and ending your teaching career in the same school Good for you. I am glad you are still retiring the end of this year When is your last day of school for the summer? I look at their pictures, look for any mutual friends and the city where they live. I can play a game of Family Feud tonight and challange you to help me when points, so you can see what it is like. I really do like seeing people for TRL there.... Annie, Patty, Lacy, Marti, Jan, Lisa and Arielle. Lisa and Ariele where young teenagers when they posted here on TRL. Do you remember them? I also visit with Gary, Janet and old friends like Linda and Barbara, who both worked with me at a Salvation Army Camp the summer we graduated high school. We have been friends since then but I hadn't talked to Barbara in 20 years. I know everyone will help you I am very happy that the folks at your church love your singing. I know how much it mean to you too I believe you are correct, I think Suzy is running today. I hope she did well today

I really enjoy FB but it is great to come here and see posts from our very special sisters. This is a beautiful new thread you made for us. Thank you for the pictures of all the sisters from the past. We really miss Shar so much. This time I am copying my post as I go along. Judy, I do what Kathy does. I click on the people's name and that takes me to their profile. Most of us have our pictures on our profile. I have a picture of baby Sophia on mine. Patty has a pic of Clay on hers, Kathy has Clay and her on her profile. Suzy, Kathy, Joyce and Lacy, (Renee) have their pictures on their profiles. Marti changes her profile picture a lot . Fran doesn't have a picture on hers but she is the only Fran Enloe, I believe. Many Clay fans are there and some of them I recognize from the boards. If they have Clay in their profile pic I usually friend them. There are also many Clay fan groups and Clay is there too. If you want to be that person's friend click on 'accept' then you can read their entire profiles. I know it is scary at first. One of the best things about FB is being able to see everyone's pictures. If you become my friend you can see Heather's wedding pics and pics from John's Hawaii home. I'm trying to encourage you. Joyce, you really have so much news. Talk about a circle of life and a circle of love. Retiring from the same school you started attending as a young child. I know you will miss your Kelly and your grandkids. You can enjoy trips to visit them. How great that Adam has found a wonderful girl and that Coltin loves her. I am enjoying playing the games at FB with Kathy, Patty and Marti. How was your run today Suzy? Lacy, Did you have a nice weekend? Patty, We're finally having some cool weather again. Erika received the Presidential gold certificate for having 3.5 or higher grades for her 3 years of middle school (A-, B+ ). She received a high award in her music class on Friday She's going to be burning the midnight oil tonight. She did a project with 2 other girls. It's a video and they helped work on it but she needs to edit it and then she has lots of homework. Poor little sweetie. I am so sleepy. If I'm smart I'll be heading to bed vera Erika will be out of school as of next Wednesday the 25th. Then we will be together all day every weekday. Have a good Tuesday everyone. Love, Annie

I finished the half marathon in 2 hours and 20 minutes, but had to stop once for a potty break with an upset stomach). I really had a good run going too--was hoping to set a new record for myself--but maybe next time. We all had a great time. Everyone who went with us finished (8 people). A little bit of light rain during the race but nothing that bad. Now starting to ramp up the running to prepare for a marathon in the fall. Will try and catch up on the news when I get more done around here. Later ladies Suzy

Kathy, Erika went to bed at 1 am. She was up until 1 the next night finishing an essay. She had to present each of them in class. The video was for Science and the essay was for English. She got A+ on both of them. Last night we went shopping for dresses. One for a dance tomorrow night and one for her promotion to high school. One week left of 8th grade for her.
