Now, we don't know EXACTLY where we are. Only our fearless leader, Miss Melanie knows for sure! Now, she's been away for a very long time. We don't know if she's coming back so if ya wanna leave, ya'll will have to fend fer yerself!! But, I don't think ya'll will be wantin' to do that anytime soon! We've got LOTS of things to do. You can sit on our homey front porch and take in the glorious view! Or you can take a walk out back. There's a lovely lake within walking distance where you can go for a nice picnic and a swim, if ya'll like..... If you'd like to take a little longer walk, well a hike really, there's a lovely waterfall not too far from here... Just leave breadcrumbs on yer way there so you can find yer way back! Or, if you're REALLY weary, you can just lounge around the grounds We just LOVE welcoming new people and there is ALWAYS Room at THIS Inn!! For your dining pleasure, you will be treated to the most scrumptious meals by our resident chef, Kenny!! And for your entertainment pleasure, we have the best DANG SINGER there EVER was!! We like to call him the Lounge Singer! As you can see, he has MANY MOODS & MANY STYLES so you're in for a SURPRISE and a BIG TREAT!! He lives here at the Inn (has a whole floor to himself! ) and he graciously gives us a concert every Friday night! So come one, come all and join us! Posts: 400 11/09/09 3:16 AM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Hi friends, MJ,glad you are feeling better. I hope your walk this weekend was successful. I like a rocky mountain trail. Yes, I know that is strange! When I was a child I used to read all these books about wild horses,then when my brother and sister and I went hiking in the mountains we pretended we were a band of wild horses,and guess who was the leader! Now, those same trails bring back fond memories of my carefree childhood days. I still have the book, "Beyond Rope And Fence,a story about a band of wild mustangs and their struggle to survive. Rose, glad to see you back at the Inn. So you and Nell think obedience is boring. That must mean you are only in the novice training. It gets much more interesting in Open and Utility work. I met a woman at our US TOO meeting who has dogs she competes with in Agility. I think she said she has three dogs. We got our Roll-top Desk this weekend,and I am thrilled with it! The color called( autumn harvest) matches my cocktail table perfectly. We picked out the color from a brochure so we weren't sure if it would. Now, I can finally organize all my important papers,bills,ect. The desk has many handy features for keeping items in their proper place. We have had our first killing frost,and that did in the summer vegetables,but the cool crops survived with a light covering. Now, we have a real Indian Summer for a few days here. The temperature may reach 70F tomorrow . This weekend we collected about 30 bags of chopped maple leaves for mulching some of the gardens. We discovered we have a neighbor down the street that has a mulching atachment for his tractor. We asked if we could have the bagged leaves and he said sure! This is a great help as otherwise we would have to chop all the leaves up ourselves. I intend to give them some jam and veggies next year for their generousity. Getting late here,so

You waited long enough for it.Keeping things in order sounds very nice. We had a killing frost weeks ago and everything is gone. Very boring looking outside. Leaves are done. Nell is in class to help her with dogs and people. I have done Open and Utility before.Had 3 UD titles on one dog and a tracking title on her. A brag coming up. We got her UD titles in 5 trials. She got her tracking title in one trial. She was a very consistent dog. I don't care for the cut throat people in obedience. Some are really bad. The bad thing is they are starting to do agility. Way back, agility was a bad word to those people.

Laura --- I'm glad that you FINALLY got your desk and are getting organized!! That is such a GREAT feeling! The problem with it, as with anything else in life, is to STAY organized! I find maintaining anything (ie organization, my weight, etc) is the toughest thing to do. I can't wait until my Dr starts his new MDVIP program in January so we can concentrate on my weight and physical fitness! Even though joining this program costs an extra $1500 a year, I think it will be well worth it! Plus, I don't want to lose this Dr since I have such a wonderful rapport (sp?) with him and he has ALWAYS helped me with whatever problems I've had and doesn't want you to come back over and over again like SOME Dr's. This program limits the number of patients to 600 but my Dr told me that he decided to limit it to 400 patients. The idea behind it is when you go for an appt, whether it is a Wellness appt or not, you will not need to wait long, if at all, and you can spend as much time with the Dr as you need!! Let's see, the walk yesterday was good. Boy, we ARE having an Indian Summer like Laura said! It was so hot while walking that, even when I took my hoodie off, I was still sweating and really hot! I DO believe we raised quite a bit of money this time too! Did I tell ya'll that my friend at work who has made VERY GENEROUS donations to the walks I've done came to my desk late in the afternoon on Friday and gave me yet another GENEROUS check for this walk? If not for her donation, even though I also made a big donation, my total amount would have ended up being a LOT less than the last walk but, with her donation, it was only $40 less than the last walk!! Plus, there were a LOT of people walking this time and they stayed since the weather was so nice. We even took a group photo that they are planning to put up on the website. I will let ya'll know when it's up there! Laura -- As far as feeling better, I was for a bit and then on Saturday morning my stomach started acting up again and I took a Bentyl to try to calm it down. Then, since I was going to the hairdresser when I got there, I took an immodium since I was scared ya know? Everything worked out ok but my stomach was in spasms ALL WEEKEND including during the walk, so I couldn't walk for as long as I would have liked. I mean, we DID do the whole route but Frank wanted to walk even more and I just couldn't (that's a switch, it's usually the other way around). Rose ---- Nope, my feet don't hurt one bit! I guess because my stomach was my main problem I didn't NOTICE my feet at all! This may sound TOOPID but what is a UD title? Does it stand for "Utility Dog"? Nah, probably not. Well, I better send this before I lose it! Welcome to our new home everyone!!

Three gloves are put out a few feet apart and the judge will tell you which glove your dog should take. You sure had a busy week-end. It sounds exciting. What a nice friend you have at work to donate to your walk. Bentyl is that something the doctor gave you? I will have to GS it. You know we are twins and I could use that for my stomach. I will take Imodium for you know also. Just in case. Sometimes they don't work for you know. Have a great day.

Now, do you go to a gastroenterologist for you tummy problems? I do and that's how I got the Bentyl for my spasms (I don't like to type that IB term here for obvious reasons ) and the Nexium for my Gerd. If you don't have a GI Dr, you should get one so he can verify that you do have IB and then you can get Bentyl or something similar for your problems! Maybe your family Dr can prescribe Bentyl but I still think you need to be checked out to make sure it is IB and not something else. However, with us being twins and all, I'm SURE it IS IB!!! Anyway, my tummy is feeling good again today! I had my very first egg white omelette here at work and it was ok but, since I didn't have ANY cheddar cheese added, even with the peppers, a few onions and tomatoes, it was just so-so. I just WISH they had low-fat cheddar cheese here but they don't! WOW! I can't believe I got that UD thing right! Nothing else new here. Have a great day everyone!

I have had it most of my life. I think some of it is nerves.I also figured out if I watch milk and milk products I'm not as bad. I think I need to watch other foods also. Laura, they told me Armour was getting easier to get. Yesterday I got compounded ones. Insurance won't pay for those. I didn't know that was what I was getting .The druggist knows I believe in compounding, so I'm guessing he figured I wouldn't care. I like this drug store, they are friendly and will answer any question . They are very small and in the medical building our doctor is in. Compounding is how my grandson got his Tamaflu, when he had the swine flu.

Posts: 400 11/12/09 1:29 PM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Hi friends, We must be triplets!!! I also have problems with my stomach.!! I have GERD and take Nexium for it. I do get spasm once in awhile,but have not been diagnosed with IBS. I believe the spasms I get are do to the acid coming up and burning . the esophagus ,which irritates that lower sphincter muscle and causes it to go into spasms,and cramps. I wonder if the Bentyl would be good for that. About the diet, we do,however drink Lactaid non-fat milk,because it is easier to digest. We eat low fat,or mainly nonfat cheese. It is not easy to find a non-fat cheese that tastes good,but Borden's has a non-fat Swiss Cheese product that we like. Rose, I am still taking generic thyroid medication,but will talk with the doctor about Armour at my next appointment in December. My insurance company wants me to stick with the generic drugs,whenever possible. How is the Armour working for you. Do you feel more energetic? Rose, my dog Sunny,he was my first Golden Retriever, got his CD,CDX,UDT titles very quickly. He also got a Highest Scoring Dog In Trial Award. He was so intelligent!!! I still miss him. I wrote a poem in memory of him. He was truly a great dog!! We are currently trying to find housing in Sarasota,Fla. for 9 weeks. starting in early January. We will be going there for Eric's radiation treatments. There is a specialist there that is highly recommended. Hopefully,these treatments will work. Eric is taking the hormones again so he is currently in remission. We still don't have the Swine Flu vaccine available here yet. New York City has received it so I imagine it will be here soon. We did get our annual flu shots. The weather here today is lousy;cool and rainy. The remnants of Hurricane Ida are coming up the cost. It looks like this weather will be lingering for a few days. Bummer!! I hope you both have a good weekend!

To cut a long story short, Uni got hectic, and we had a bunch of family issues. Then my Dad had 3 strokes (mini ones) thank God . Then my sister came back home, and to top it all off, I went back to Uni for another year, and it's much harder now. Right now, I'm off sick and have been off for the last 2 weeks . I got a cold, then just after I got better I caught nasty flu. We aren't sure which kind, but I am quarantined. I haven't stepped out my house in 2 WEEKS, and it's driving me mental. I can't go out again until all my symptoms are gone. To make it worse, I've developed an ear infection and my asthma is acting up. I'm hoping I can attend Uni again end of next weeks. 3 weeks after I last went. Thankfully one of my mates is sending me her notes, so I am not missing much. I know me being busy doesn't exactly excuse the fact I haven't logged in for a whole year. But I hope you can forgive me, and I promise to log in again. I have been keeping up on my Clay news though (I get Google Alerts now), so fear not! MJ - I am so sorry I missed your birthday yesterday. I was just too sick to Facebook you. I remembered though & thought of you. Did you have a good day? And how are the squirrels doing? Do you still see rocky? (I hope I'm remembering right?) Fletch xx

We have all missed you SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!! Don't be silly --- there's ALWAYS room for you and you KNOW that!! Sorry to hear about all the tough times you and your family has been through. I've been praying for you and your family since I thought that you were probably going through some rough times. Well, I ALWAYS pray for ALL my friends but I say EXTRA prayers for the one who are going through rough stuff. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY to have to back HOME!! Now, don't feel like you have to post every day or even every week or every month but, once in awhile, just stop by if only to , ok?? We all know you've been busy with Uni and so sorry to hear about your Dad's mini strokes. Frank's mother has had a few of those herself. Anyway, we don't see Rocky anymore (that we KNOW of). We see LOTS of squirrels in our backyard and one of them COULD be Rocky but how would we know? Since you've been gone, I have fostered a total of 4 baby bunnies. Sadly, we lost one of them (he/she was the runt of the litter - there were 3 siblings and he/she was the smallest). Anyway, the other bunnies have been released and we hope they are having a very nice life!! Hey folks! Guess what? The other day I ACTUALLY saw a cottontail rabbit running into our backyard before I went to work! I TOTALLY forgot to tell ya'll about it. Frank thinks he saw it late last night through the window sitting in the wet grass (yes, it's been raining here for 3 long days!). Anyway, as I have mentioned before, we didn't release our bunnies here since we haven't seen any around here in a couple of years so this was a real FIND and HOPE for the future!! We released "our" bunnies at a Wildlife Reservation where we have seen LOTS of bunnies so we HOPE they are happy and healthy there!! Well, Frank and I are planning to go out SOMEWHERE since today is the first day this weekend that the Sun is out!!! Gotta go get ready!! Later!!

I kept thinking I should call you, but never knew when you would be in. I'm snowed under with coursework - so I'll have to finish that before I call you. Maybe I can call about Christmas time? If you want me to of course. I also need to get rid of the asthma first. You remember my episode in NYC? It's worse than that. I can barely talk with coughing. Laura (friend) came round to see me today and my response to each question was simply coughing. LOL! Fun conversation (not!). I think she found it amusing... haha! I read Clay's Blog and he's been laying down tracks in LONDON . LONDON. Me thinks I need a trip there soon. I was there not too long ago actually, seeing my old school friend and his fiance. I hadn't seen him since the last day of school aged 16, and it's cute to see him so happy. We lost touch for 5 years, and then "bumped" into each other on Facebook and that was that. We chatted all the time. I thought I'd have nothing to say to his fiance (also a guy!) but surprisingly, we got on well. Almost better than me and my school friend! . But bless him, my school friend had been so worried about me going up to see them. Back in school he wasn't "out", but kids guessed and they bullied him no end. I was the one person that stuck by him and smiled and chatted no matter what. So anyway, he was terrified I'd react badly to him being gay, and to meeting his fiance, but I told him straight that he had NOTHING to worry about. I didn't care if he was gay, straight, whatever. He was my friend, and I was going to go and see him and his fiance and it wasn't going to bother me. We had a FANTASTIC day. My friend is soooooooooooooooooooo camp (and wore pink) and we went shopping and they had me in stitches all day. I took Laura with me, and although she'd never met either of the guys, she enjoyed it too. We hope to go up and do a "double date" again soon. Seriously it was a BLAST. One time my friend complained his feet hurt, and next thing, he's sat in my lap (in the wheelchair) and I'm steering us both down the sidewalk! I couldn't see where I was going coz he was blocking my vision! So he kept yelling "BRAKE!" at me. Sorry you lost a bunny MJ. But glad you saw one in your garden. Right, need to work. Fletch xx
