Wow....this is going to be a great thread that you have established. It will allow for further discussion about the "greatness" that happened when Clay was in Spamalot for the two "runs" during 2008. Thanks for keeping your promise of opening up a thread like this. After all your hard work and devotion...you never saw Spamalot? Well, I surely wish you would have been rewarded to have seen it. Thanks again for all that you did for all of us! Here is one of my favourite pictures from one of his Stage Door appearances ~ He looks happy, and who better to capture it than Toni7babe. Awesome~! Posts: 1019 01/06/09 3:15 PM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Ok, this picture isn't mine, but it was my exact view taken the last time I was at Spamalot. So whomever it belongs to thanks. I'm loving the pictures and the memories. I was fortunate enough to see the play three times in the Spring, and 2 times this Fall, and got my first stage door the weekend after Christmas. It was kind of overwhelming because you watch him up on that stage, larger than life, so talented, and so hilarious, and then there he is right in front of you, less than a foot away! But as anyone who has ever met him knows, he does not dissappoint. He is as charismatic up close as he is on stage. The only way I can explain it is that there is a kind of light inside him. I will miss reading all the reports and seeing all the pictures. I don't know how I am going to wait for whatever does next. P.S. The entire cast of that play is amazing, and deserves all the cheers and praise we have given them. I am hoping they all move on to projects that can make as many people happy as the did with Spamalot. P.P.S. And this is my favorite picture from the entire run. His talent came shining through, could not be denied, and he took us on a memorable 12 month journey I will never forget. The stage door experiences were amazing, the rest of the Spamalot cast was wonderful and the amount of talent in NYC is just something not to be missed. Clay grew, we grew, and All Is Well.

I was there when Koko had her wonderful experience, and again when Mar and Victoria were there from Spain and a little sad that they didn't get a stage door experience, but so in awe of all the wonderful ladies who looked after them so well. And all of this not in person but via the courtesy of the CB, Joy, all the wonderful fans who relayed red reports, pics, videos, all of you, the exquisite detail from AustenFan, the energy and enthusiasm of Teddyhugz, everyone, THANK YOU, it was an amazing experience I would not have had without the kindness and sharing nature of Clay fans. My favorite pic of all time is the one by Shine in NC at the stage door the other night. I'm at work on a lunch break but I can look for it later and add it. It's already become Mr. January on my Clay calendar. My favorite moment was Koko on stage with Clay! I had soo much fun that weekend! MY FAVORITE!!!! Then I was fortunite enough to go again on Nov. 29th, I went to the Q & A and asked Clay a question. My question was "What other role he would like to play in Spamalot besides Sir Robin", and of course I messed it up...lol. I froze and Clay had to come back to me because I completely forgot my question! I'm such a dork...lol.

Because that is me in the back with the blond hair and glasses. This was the first time Clay spoke to me and I responded as if he were a normal person! I didn't think this would be possible and never wanted to meet him or even try for a M&G. After this, I will never fear him again. I had a Spam picture taken during the first run BC for $300 and it is the best money I ever spent. I don't post much, but I have always been involved. I'm one of the Pink Jacket Ladies and ran the dinner after the finale. I want to thank all who came and apoloogize for not getting to meet you all.I also want you to know that we are sorry that the food was not very good that night and that the minimum was charged by the restaurant. We tried-but it is hard to do a dinner for that many people off the menu and on one check. Hope you had fun and will come to other things we run. Clayhugs, Barbara Anyone know why my avatar never shows up? Any help would be appreciated. Sue4allyoudo tried to make it work, but she can't either!

A laugh a minute, an incredible cast and Clay is now definitely the seasoned Broadway veteran. He is so natural on that stage. My colleague, with whom I went, says that while he always admired Clay's voice, he has a new-found respect for him. It provided the laughs that I needed and will be remembered as one of my most enjoyable evenings in a long time. Sorry I didn't get to meet any of you who were there.

I know I'm going to love it already. I've already seen some of my favorite Clay pics here. And I know there are soooo many more. I wasn't lucky enough to see Spam in person, but I was lucky enough to read everyone's reports and recaps every night. We are so blessed that the Spam-goers so generously shared their experiences with us. The images reported were so clear in my mind's eye, and I'm forever thankful for that.

It's so tough to pick just one favorite memory, but when I first read the title of the thread....this came to mind: This is May 4th, 2008. The Shubert alley was full and there was so much anticipation as to whether Clay would be able to come outside at all. The concern was the size of the crowd...no matter how thoughtful the crowd might be, there was always the fear of someone pushing in excitement, so we all pretty much decided that Clay may not be able to properly say "good-bye".......but he never disappoints.....and on the marquee roof of the Shubert Theatre....he appeared!!!! I will never forget the screams of Joy, the heartfelt "I love you, Clay's", and all the "Thank You's" that rang through the alley. We were so very proud of him.....we ARE so very proud of him....and, we knew, at that moment, that he had returned to "us", our Clay...his signature sign "Thank You"....that loving "wave"....and the blown kisses.....AHHHH the kisses!!!...and the unforgettable "six" to us....not sure if that meant that On My Way Here is coming...May 6th.....or don't forget and buy 6 copies of On My Way Here!!!! LOL!!!! All we knew was that Clay was not leaving New York City without properly thanking his fans.....his "extended" family....the ones who have supported him through it all....little did we know......that the best was yet to come......and it did. So as I sit here and think about all the memories of Spamalot, all of the friendships made, The Magical City of New York, the even more magical Clay Aiken, and Brave Sir Robin....I am certain that with each step he takes in this marvelous career, a career that includes "us"....that again, and as always, The Best is Yet to Come. "Yesterday....Now.....and Forever"

I can't imagine the emotions felt, actually being there in person to see it happen. I get chills just thinking about what it must have been like.
