Just taking a break from school work before I have to get back to reading. Tuesdays are my busiest day and it's even busier this week because my Mom and I are going to see William Joseph in concert tonight. He is performing in Oakville and we are really looking forward to the show! We haven't seen him live since the JNT 2005. Clayitagain: I can't wait for the cluncheon on the 8th! claynadian75: Have a great time at the Sound of Music with TOGirl on Thursday! aikenfan: Sorry to hear about your friend's daughter. MJ- have fun tonight!! We're under a snow squall warning for tonight/tomorrow!! Depending how the squalls set up we could get up to 15 cm of snow. Posts: 346 (10/28/08 4:07 PM) More Recent Posts Message Friend Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Hi everyone, Vickums and I got home yesterday from NYC and we had a wonderful time!! We arrived on Thursday and hung around with my cousin. She showed us around Westchester (where she lives) which is about 45 minutes from NYC. Friday we got into the city around noon. We went and had lunch at the Olive Garden and then looked around time square all afternoon. Then it was time to meet up with zakus,redbay, patches and aikenfan for supper. It was SO GREAT to see them. We found out that Clay would not be performing that night so Vickums and I went to see Phantom of the Opera instead. On Saturday afternoon Clay was still not performing so we did the hop on hop off bus tour (in the rain). It was great to see lots of NYC. Then Saturday night we finally saw Clay from our second row seats and he was GREAT!! I was so happy I made the trip. Saturday night was suppose to be our last show but we bought tickets to both shows on Sunday. On Sunday we met up with my uncle who also lives in NYC and had brunch with him. Then we walked around Central Park it was beautiful that day, sunny and 18!! We got to the theater for the afternoon show and found out Clay was not performing again, were we ever disappointed but decided to go anyway. After we had supper at Juniors we went back to the theater and watched the evening performance(Clay was in!!!!) from our 4th row center seats. We rushed to the stage door after the show only to find out he would not be coming out and we were right in front. How sad for us. Monday morning we headed home very happy that we saw Clay twice. If I figure out how to post pictures I will. Tonight my husband and I are going to see Celine Dion, I won tickets through our local radio station. MJ- enjoy the concert tonight. Aikenfan- sorry to hear about your daughter's friend.

All of us were so excited when we heard Clay was back and you would see him on Sat. and up front and center. How different did you find the show without Clay being in it?

OCF - I'm with Cedoux and C75 - I only prime if I'm making a drastic colour change, or if I'm covering oil paint so that I can use latex on top. If you do prime anything, allow 24 hours for the primer to cure completely, so there's no chance of any peeling later. As Cedoux said, you can get a combo printer and paint from Benjamin Moore, brand named "Aura". They come in all of BM's 1,600 colours. Good luck with your project. suzygirl - Sounds like you and Vickums had a great weekend! I love Phantom so I hope you enjoyed it too. C75 - I love your idea of the group signing a card for Liz at the cluncheon! BTW, one of my co-workers went to the Sound of Music and was raving about it. She said the staging is just wonderful and the girl chosen to play Maria is just wonderful. I'm sure you'll both have a great time. My Liz update for today is that she's now at the rehab hospital and doing quite well. She apparently walked too much today and tired herself out, but it wasn't serious - she was apparently just curious about where everything was. Her daughter also said she's enjoying all the cards she's received. Just a quick note that her family would appreciate mail not being sent to her condo. He put on an amazing show, with a great mix of songs from his latest album and his first album. The musicians that played with him on stage were very talented and really added to each song. He is so funny too, telling us lots of stories and embarrasing moments that have happened to him in the past. He talked about David Foster quite a bit, which is funny because who knew he would be at Spam tonight! LOL. After the concert, my Mom and I got to meet William and have him sign his new CD for us. He is such a nice guy. We actually talked about Clay for a while, mostly about the pranks that he pulled on William during the last night of the JNT 2005. He still can't get over everything that Clay did to him that night, especially putting water on the piano bench and having the stage crew close the curtain around him near the end. LOL. Friend's daughter has had two surgeries. She is breathing on her own, but with a little oxygen from the breathing tube. She tried getting up, but can't, she also tries to talk and can't. Yesterday she was awake for most of the day and recognizes everyone. He focus takes a few seconds but it is a good sign. She is moving her left leg that has the broken hip and femur bone. They still have her hands tied down as she would try and remove the tube. She will be O.K. In a week she will be moved to a step down unit if everything goes well. Then its rehab for at least 3 months. Patches - Hope your x-ray is o.k. and that you're not in too much pain. MJ - Glad you and your enjoyed the concert last nite. Nice pic. of you and William Joseph. Clayitagain - You must be getting anxious. Here's a Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for you. Zakus - WOW! that poll sure made alot of ground from last nite. From 6 place to 3rd. Let's keep him there. Bella - Thanks for Liz's update. Suzygirl2 - How was Celine? I'd like to see her one day. Had tickets to see her in Sudbury, but she cancelled. We haven't had any snow here yet, but it is in the forecast for later this week. This afternoon we are going to Buffalo to do some birthday/Christmas shopping. My Dad has been working a lot at Indigo books and since we are both off today it's the perfect chance to go. pamforclay: Yep, William was at the Performing Arts Center in Oakville. I had never been there before, even though my Uncle conducts the Oakville Symphony, and it is a really nice and intimate venue. We were in the fourth row and it seemed like we were practically on the stage. Have a great day everyone!

We were in the fourth row and it seemed like we were practically on the stage. I have seen a play and a musical performance there and you are in a very intimate setting, that's for sure. I have friends that get season's tix but I can never find enough of interest to warrant the financial output. Their advertising is certainly not directed at me because I would have taken note if I had seen William Joseph's name advertised. Glad you enjoyed. Let me know what's up in Buff as we are due to go back very soon.

Since Bella can't access CB during the day day, I thought I better post this. I don't want to alarm anyone, but I just got word that Liz is back in the ER, so I think maybe some more prayers are in order. Sorry I don't have any details, but Bella or I will let you know if we hear any more news. This is quite a sudden turn of events because yesterday Liz had posted on the GC website that she was making progress and was getting the best of care possible. Sending some for Patches too. Hope everything is OK! MJ, sounds like you had a lovely evening. Looking forward to seeing you next weekend! Zakus, congrats on becoming a grandma, twice, next year. So happy for your kids! aikenfan, prayers going out to your young friend too, and hoping your own health is OK. Have you had any more word about your tests? Sorry it's been so long since I last posted. I've been working a lot of hours since I got back from the Gala and when I've been home I've been catching up on some other things.
