Here's the way the Best Music Poll [ http://www.bestmusictop.com/ ] works:

* The 1-200 category: Only three songs per artist at any one time. After a song has been on for a period of time (it appears to be about three months), it begins to lose points very rapidly, despite retaining votes. This is the only category that's handled this way. After one of Clay's songs drops off the poll, a new Clay song is added (on the 151-200 page) in about two weeks time. We can vote for all three songs once daily (not sooner than 24 hours, however) per ip address.

* The Best Melody category: It lists 50 songs. Clay has six listings! He'll continue to hold/increase his spots so long as we keep voting daily on this poll. We can vote for all six songs once daily (not sooner than 24 hours, however) per ip address. The site does not deduct points here.

* The Best Artist category: It lists 50 artists. Clay holds the #1 spot by a huge margin. We can vote once daily (not sooner than 24 hours, however) per ip address here also. The site does not deduct points here.

* The Best Picture category: Here, we can only vote once every three days (72 hours). Clay is in a constant battle with Taylor Hicks here for the #1 spot, with Clay winning most of the time. Here, we can not only vote for Clay by voting him a "10", we can also vote against his competitors by voting them a "0". It's an inherent part of the game to do this.

* The Send Your Song category: This is where we get to promote the next song to be added to the 1-200 category, as well as additions to the Best Melody category. Currently we're writing in "Ashes".

NOTE: *If you're using AOL, take care to not vote before your precise time period for voting has elapsed. AOL is the only site that permits continuous voting, but your vote won't count if your time period has not elapsed. The other sites, i.e., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, do not let you vote until your time period has elapsed.
* If you have AOL, you can vote twice daily; i.e., once on AOL and once on I.E. or Mozilla.
* This is a very important poll in the industry. Please make an effort to vote on it every day. Best to keep a log of your voting times so as to simplify your voting.
