Clay's MySpaceLink The music industry checks out the # of plays on the stars' MySpace sites. Clay and his management look at these numbers, particularly the number of Friends/fans to determine whether a tour can sell or if there is interest in his music. Sites like Hit Predictor and radio stations take these numbers into account to decide if he has enough fans and interest to make playing his singles worthwhile. I think this is the single most important thing we can do to help Clay right now. It's very important for us to get Clay's numbers UP! Currently, his numbers are well below the other well-known Idols. HOW TO STREAM: Click on the link and the songs from OMWH will start. It's OK to minimize the site. Then refresh [click "view", click "refresh"] the site every 12 minutes for however long you're on the net. NEW INFO: To stream most effectively without having to manually refresh, see either the "Opera" browser [see new change] or the "Refresher" instructions immediately below the Polls' Listing here. NOTE: "Refresher" appears to work best for most fans.

INSTRUCTIONS for USING "OPERA" to STREAM CLAY'S MYSPACE:
To get started, download the Opera browser here. Next, copy this link to Clay's MySpace page: http://profile.myspace.com/clayaiken and paste it into the address bar in Opera to have it come up in Opera. You can bookmark it once you have his MySpace open in Opera and next time you use Opera you can just use the bookmark to get there again.

You can set the Opera browser to refresh at a custom rate for streaming Clay's MySpace. You can set it to refresh for any length of time you choose from 1 minute (NEW: 2 minutes recommended here) to whatever, and you can leave it running 24/7 without needing to refresh it yourself.

To set the timer: Drag your cursor over to the far right margin of the page. Right click your mouse and you will see a menu pop up. Put your cursor over the words "reload every"'.Another window will pop out to the side and you now move your pointer over "1 minute" and click on it. The window will disappear as soon as you have clicked on it. However, once you've set the "reload every" timer you need to manually reload it one time to start the automated refresh. To manually reload, just right click on a neutral part of the page and choose "reload", you'll see it refresh immediately and you've started the "reload every" timer. NEW: Click in the scroll bar to bring up the "play" box. Do not minimize the MySpace window or Opera to your bottom tray because it will pause the timer until you make it big again. However, you can minimize the site to the side of your screen. You will be able to read in or use other windows or browsers while Opera is running in the background.

* Click on this link: http://www.yes.com/#Clay_Aiken This will bring you to Clay's Page on Yes.com.
* Initially, you'll have to register with your User Name and Password.
* In subsequent visits, you'll log in by clicking "Log In" in the upper right hand corner of the site.
* To communicate with the other Claymates on the site, click on the white area at the bottom of the center panel of the site, just below the "Yes" box. Then type your message. When done typing, click "Enter" on your keyboard.
* When a station (anywhere in the U.S.) plays Clay, a blue strip appears in the center panel with the station's call letters and the name of the song being played.
* When this blue strip appears, we have about 2 & 1/2 minutes to get over to the station and vote for the song.
* We get to the station by clicking on the station's call letters in the blue strip.
* When we arrive at the station's site, we click "YES" to vote. Only one vote per User Name counts.
* After voting, you can return to Clay's page in one of two ways: Either click on a link left by another Claymate returning to Clay's page or type in "Clay Aiken" in the top upper box in the left hand panel. "Clay Aiken" will now appear in a blue strip immediately below. Click on his name in the blue strip, and that takes you back to Clay's page to await the next spin.
* You can now chat with other Claymates on the site, or you can minimize the site to the right side of your screen (keeping a portion of the center panel showing) and have full use of your computer for other purposes. If you minimize, you'll have to keep your eye on the minimized site, and maximize it the moment you see the blue strip appear on your screen.

"HEY, NEILSEN" INSTRUCTIONS:

Once you arrive at the Neilsen Main Clay page: #1. Register, or Log In if you've previously registered. #2. On the upper RH side, click "I own some of this music". This is a one-time vote only. #3. Continuing on the upper RH side, click "Add Opinion" box, and add an opinion. "I love Clay Aiken" is sufficient, but it's fine to get more verbose. You can add a new opinion every 24 hours. #4. Moving over to the LH side of the Main Clay Page, you'll find a listing of everyone else's RECENT opinions. Click "Strongly Agree" if it's a positive post (the vast majority are positive), and vice versa (occasionally, a Hater slips in a nasty opinion). Simply click, "Strongly Disagree", and move on. You can agree or disagree only once to each opinion. #5. Continuing on the LH side, you can add a comment to as many of the opinions as you like, even to your own opinion. There is no limitation on this. #6. When you're all done with all of this, if you still have time, click on "Featured" and "Popular" at the top of the Opinions' listing.
