Did you notice that young, good-looking guy singing along with Clay too? Is there a new set of requirements for being a Clay fan that I missed? If being pretty or good-looking is one of them, I guess I'm out. I understand wanting the young, hip (although fickle) crowd to appreciate him....but is it required that they also be attractive? Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	For whatever it's worth, I think that the issue of the age of Clay's fans is merely a reflection of the larger society in which we live. We do live in a culture that prefers youth and is less comfortable with the prospect of growing older. So I don't think that this problem relates only to the fandom; it's far more pervasive than that. But on a cheerier note: tomorrow we'll be able to listen to OMWH online! YAY! Can't wait!!

But, I actually think that "PYT" and "attractive young guy" are aliases for the hip crowd. Maybe it would be better to say "the younger demographic". As for me, I want Clay to have fans of all ages, ethnicities, nationalites, genders, body types. Okay, in short, I want the world for him. Not too much to ask, is it?

Especially the emphasis on beauty. Like someone being attractive makes them better able to appreciate good music? Anyway....I won't comment further because I don't want to derail the thread.... Back to the mini-countdown until First Listen tomorrow!

No, of course there isn't a set of requirements that Clay's fans be young, pretty or good-looking. I just noticed there were quite a few people matching that description in the video and it was fun to see. Believe me, I am none of those.
