"The Hey! Nielsen score is a real-time indicator of a topic/celebrity's impact and value and WE (the
users) play a major role in determining rankings. As users submit their opinions and commentary, the score will rise or fall based on number of
factors
including, but not limited to,
user opinions, comments, user ratings, news coverage, and internet buzz and raw data from
Billboard.com, HollywoodReporter.com, and BlogPulse.com. Scores are calculated daily." Click here to help

See post #65 below for complete instructions on how to navigate the Nielsen site
Negative reactions still INCREASE scores, so don't bother posting/reacting negatively for people thinking it will
lower their score - it just gives them more activity which gives them a HIGHER score (see Moonlighting post below).
David Archuleta continues to beat Clay's score significantly, but more people are finally posting. Thanks
everyone, keep up the good work. Also Clay's official site needs comments, please go add some. You can also add comments about sites like this one, since I
consider all the little sites support for the official one.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD -
WRITE NEW "OPINIONS", "RATE" Clay, "REACT" to existing posts about Clay, "Search" for Clay, and "ADD
COMMENTS" to posts. All of these things help Clay's score.
(Note: You don't have to add negative rankings for others, just post and positively rate Clay to raise his score. My goal is not to make everyone else look
bad, only to show how much all of us love Clay. If you like any other celebs, vote for them, just be sure to add opinions for Clay too.)
This is a very important ranking, it is based on factors taken into play for celebrities scores is one that the music
industry most likely takes very seriously when considering airplay, awards, etc., so please take time to register here, rate Clay
(+5 intensely like), "react" to comments about Clay (+5 strongly
agree or -5 strongly disagree), "update your status" that you
"Own some of this music", and add some of your own
"opinions" about Clay. Detailed instructions under post #65
(Note: You can only post 1 "opinion" about Clay each 24hr period, but you can leave several comments, so go post people!)
Comments & reactions count a lot - We do this all the time anyway, why not do it on a site that the music industry actually is
looking at?
More fans are starting to post
, and Clay's numbers have improved
! But we have to keep it up. Please spread the word.
Just posted a Clay video with characters from Moonlight and received this email below to their fans giving insight on how to help make your votes/posts
count (replace Moonlight, etc. with Clay to get the idea). This is the famous Nielsen Ratings site, we need them to acknowledge Clay. Click here to help

We continue to need help at Hey! Nielsen on a daily basis, so please hear me out. Here is an important message from BravoGabbo on how to write effective
OPINIONS at Hey! Nielsen, so that they will count more in the daily scores and rankings for Moonlight, Alex, Sophia, Jason and Shannyn:
Thanks for coming to Hey! Nielsen and giving Moonlight your support!
Hey Nielsen is not like most online forums; here are some things to know to maximize your support here.
An opinion counts the most toward the HN score, followed by written comments, and finally reactions. You are allowed to write one opinion per
topic every 24 hours, and one comment per any single opinion (including your own).
Please come back as often as you can to write opinions for Moonlight, Alex, Sophia, Jason, and Shannyn. If you feel so inspired, throw in opinions for
Eric Winter (ADA Talbot), Jacob Vargas (Guillermo), Brian J. White (Lt. Carl Davis), David Blue (Logan), and Claudia Black (the Cleaner). Also, please
write a comment for as many different opinions as you can. Finally, react like crazy! The more reactions and written opinions and comments the higher the scores!
Some people think that they have to agree +5 to every comment to "count more" toward the score. However, this is not true. HN monitors these topics for activity; even a negative reaction counts as activity, and raises the score. So if someone (a troll perhaps) post a really negative opinion about ML or cast, it's okay to disagree with them! Plus, even that person's negative opinion will increase the overall score. (We just don't like to read them!)
HN has a few rules about the kinds of things you can post. Opinions must be OPINIONS. Please do NOT write the same opinion as others have already written before (such as I miss Moonlight, I love Moonlight, Please bring back Moonlight---these will not count in the HN's scores.)
They cannot be questions or non-committal statements.
Further, they do not allow web addresses or contact information, or any kind of "call to action" (their words). HN has stated in its blog that they will not count one or two-word opinions -- they want people to really say something. As for comments, they do not allow copying-and-pasting the same comments over and over, and if they catch you doing it, you may be banned.
Just type something different each time -- it doesn't have to be Shakespeare.
Finally, please do not register multiple accounts and post from them, because they do monitor that, and they will ban you.
Thanks, again, for showing your support for Moonlight! Please come do all you can every day.
LOL and thanks,
Bravogabbo

New Scoring System. See blog below from Nielsen:
A team of child actors and reality TV stars worked overtime to develop the new score formula
After analyzing nearly a year's worth of data and fan activity, we made a major change
to the way our site compiles user feedback and other Nielsen data to create the Hey! Nielsen Score. The score now tops out at 100 with topics gaining
points based on fan feedback from opinions.
Other input makes up the score as well, including Nielsen's weekly broadcast and cable tv ratings (yes we track TiVO and DVR), box office results, and blog chatter as
tracked by Nielsen Online. But, the majority of the score is generated by things like your commentary and input to the RATE IT button for each topic.
You'll notice that many of the actual rankings have remained the same, with some slight adjustments. In the end, the score is meant to be a
"fun" metric that tracks what people are most excited about on our site. It's also a great indicator of active fan communities and passionate
tastemakers on the web.
Please feel free to leave comments here if you have any questions about the new format. Obviously, we can't
reveal tooooo much about our secret sauce as it would only invite attempts to manipulate the score (although great pains have been taken over the last few
months of testing to minimize that aspect). We can tell you that actually reaching 100 points would require that topic to have the most fan activity, a
perfect average user rating of 5.0 and be the most talked about thing on the web and have the number one record, tv show, or movie that week… so don't
feel bad if your favorites are hovering around the 23.45 mark. It's all relative.

Clay's rating today is a 24 (up 20% from yesterday).
Keep posting people - it is helping. Clay is now #519 out of 10057 overall and #136 in music, but I know we can do better
than that. Spread the word. It is only a matter of time, before Clay reaches the top 10, and maybe (fingers crossed) #1
The Claymates
have finally started to arrive!!!
