Thanks for the scan. I won't be giving them any money until this lukewarm article becomes even more positive. They owe him bigtime, before I feed their critics salaries.

LONGER HAIR It's a bit girly. But also kind of a mullet. Let's call it a gullet. 3. BRONZER Either the man had an insane (I'm pretty sure it says insane) chemical peel or he's using self-tanner. 4. INCREASED BODY MASS The skinny and gangly younster first seen at auditions (I think it says auditions) has bulked up and is not hardly what we'd call "Invisible." 5. TAILORED SUIT He looks good in suits as long as they're not of the all-white variety (see 2003, at left). It's too bad EW still put in their digs. Other than that, this article doesn't seem all that bad.

I was about the bronzer comment too. And of all the photos taken of Clay at this event, that one is certainly not one of the better ones. I really think they work realllly hard at finding the worst of the lot to use. Magazine money will be better spent on tour merchandise!

Also, Clay is far from the only "idol" that they "pick on." Everybody gets their ribbing from EW in this issue. I'm not trying to sell magazines or anything...just want everyone to have all the facts and judge for themselves. IF you see the mag in a store, you might want to look it over before deciding to buy. One of the "trivia" questions is about album sales--match the Idol to their debut album sales. They include a few who were less than exemplary...and then Clay of course, who was much higher!
