Good morning all!

We will be tracking week 91 sales for Tried and True in this thread. Enjoying the new single Bring Back My Love. Last week's events - 2nd Episode of Celebrity Apprentice "Getting Medieval". Host narrator of Feb 20 "Reflections of Life" concert in NYC.

Upcoming - Week 3 of Apprentice. "How Much Is That Celebrity in the Window". AND NEW ALBUM STEADFAST ON MARCH 26! Per the track list on Amazon, this is a repackaged TNT but has new song Bring Back My Love added.

Our last numbers for TNT are from January 27, 2012 - 68,000. Thank you to ezz for making an updated graph!

Note that this does not include albums sold through PBS stations as those are not sound-scanned per Pink Armchair.

The milestones from Clay's first four full albums are in post 2 of this thread for reference.

The Grammy glow still surrounded several acts last week. Adele, for instance, has sold nearly a million copies of her 21 album in the past two weeks.

Sales of Kelly Clarkson's Stronger slacked off a little last week, but she's still at No. 13 on the Billboard chart, selling 29,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. And even though they didn't perform on the Grammy Awards show, Scotty McCreery, Daughtry and Lauren Alaina all saw their sales increase from the previous week.

Adele's 21 holds at #1 for an astonishing 22nd week. It is the only album to be #1 so far this year. On the horizon, however, are new releases from Bruce Springsteen, One Direction and The Shins, all of which could possibly debut at #1. Interestingly, all of these releases are also from Adele's label, Columbia Records. DIVAS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN

Adele, Whitney Houston Grab Five of Top 10; fun., Tyga, Chiddy Bang Debut February 28, 2012 This week’s HITS Top 50 Album sales chart was all about Adele and Whitney Houston. The current and late divas dominate this week’s tally, with a combined five of the Top 10, including the top two. XL/Columbia’s Grammy-winning phenom Adele is #1 for the 22nd time in a little more than a year since the album’s release, chalking up another 292k to bring her remarkable total over 7.6 million, 1.8 million of them since Jan. 1. Our crack retail staff predicts the album will go over the 3 million mark for the year by Memorial Day. Her debut album, 19, is now at #7, RCA’s Whitney Houston The Greatest Hits notches 169k in sales, good for #2, one of three albums by the late singer in the Top 10 and four in the Top 50, including RCA’s The Bodyguard soundtrack (#45-6, +284%), her self-titled debut (#35-8, +79%) and I Look to You (#15), her final 2009 release. Fueled by Ramen’s fun. rides the success of the Top 3 Alternative smash, “We Are Young” featuring Janelle Monae, which received exposure from the Chevy Sonic Super Bowl TV spot, to a #3 debut for its album Some Nights, selling nearly 70k in its first week. Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Republic rapper Tyga’s Careless World: Rise of the Last King debuts at #4 with 65k, even after a clearance problem pulled most physical product from the shelves. Capitol/EMI’s Now 41 rounds out the Top 5, while I.R.S./Virgin’s electro-hip-pop act Chiddy Bang debuts at #9 with Breakfast, followed by Universal Republic’s 2012 Grammy Nominees (#10). Mom + Pop/RED’s Sleigh Bells (#12) and Relativity Music Group’s Act of Valor (#45), the soundtrack to the Navy Seals movie which landed at #1 on the box office last week are the only other chart newcomers. The week’s other double-digit gainer is Columbia’s Leonard Cohen, whose Old Ideas rises #47-26, +22%. Hitting stores this week are Universal Republic’s Kid Cudi project WZRD, Atlantic’s Estelle, Lost Highway’s Lyle Lovett and Downtown/Fontana’s The Cranberrries, with Columbia’s Bruce Springsteen and Atlantic’s Sean Paul topping the release list for March 6.

One-Day Sales Report From HDD:

Look for Adele's 21 to spend her 23rd week atop the album charts next week, and it might be her last one for now with Columbia labelmate Bruce Springsteen’s Wrecking Ball set to hit retail next Tuesday (3/6). The only new release this week that initially appears to be higher than 15k is WZRD, an alternative rock duo consisting of Kid Cudi and producer Dot da Genius, on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. label through Universal Republic, which will land in the 70-80k range. Album sales were down 18% vs. last week, down 3% vs. the same week last year and up 3% year to date. Track sales were down 13% vs. last week, up 6% vs. the same week last year and up 7% year to date. TEA sales were down 17% vs. last week, flat vs. the same week last year and up 5% year to date.
