Thanks to all who built and developed this board over the years. It took a lot of time and hard work, dedication and patience. Change is always difficult but
it can serve to increase fervor and renew commitment to a mission. For me, that mission is Clay Aiken, the person and performer. Am so pleased that the board
will be managed by two people who care so much about Clay and the members of this board.
Congratulations and best wishes to both of you -- to the faithful members of this board who will benefit by your hard work and wisdom, and most of all -- to Clay -- who will continue to receive the love and support of this very special place. |

Don't post much on here, but I certainly recognize the names Mamarose and ClayScience!!! You are super duper fans, and will do a great job.
Elspeth and NYMom, you should be so proud of yourselves for running the board so smoothly all these years. I mainly go to the voting thread each day, but I do read posts, and there is always something interesting! Thanks so much.

It's been brought to our attention that someone is spreading a rumor that Els and I are leaving because we no longer support Clay.
How sad! One would think that after 6 years and thousands of hours spent on the board, we'd be able to give over the reigns to a colleague without our motives being suspect. In the original thread, we stated that we needed time to devote to real life and that's the absolute truth. Personally, I need more than 4 hours of sleep a night. 
I will state here unequivocally that we are NOT leaving because of no longer supporting Clay. I hope that those of you who have known us for the past 6 years know us better than to think otherwise. Both of us remain fans and hope to see you on an upcoming (fingers crossed) tour.

Let me add to what NYmom posted and say that it is indeed unfortunate that after 6 years of
moderating this board, traveling hundreds of miles to see Clay etc, etc. that we are forced to defend ourselves against the lie that we are are no longer fans.
It's unfortunate that those spreading the lies didn't ask us themselves but instead chose to spread disinformation through backchannels. Hopefully
now the record is more than clear as to why we're leaving - as we said in our original post - real life demands our attention.
