I need some tech goddesses out there to give me a cure. I am talking about YouTube starting and stopping when playing a video. I know it has something to do with annotations and some horrible code I some installed at some point totally inadevertently because I don't make montages. Here is what I have tried. First, obviously going and checking to MAKE BLANK OR UNCHECK the "Show Annotations" box in the Playback feature of YouTube where you choose some options. Next, I tried using another browser besides I.E. and used Firefox or something. No difference. I have also tried clearing all cookies, restarting my compter, turning it off completely -- a number of variities. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE help me. This just started a few weeks ago and YouTube is my main version of listening to Clay live, and now it's ruined. It is devastating to me. Any help out there? P.S. Oh For The Love of God...

However, it doesn't happen that often, and when it does, it seems to happen on every other video I watch. I don't know why it happens or how to prevent it or fix it. I would play a Youtube video, and it won't load completely to the end like its supposed to. Someone said to wait for it to load completely but that's part of the problem - it won't load all at once! It stops loading, and then of course the video playback stops where the video stopped loading. I click around on stuff, pause, stop, replay from the beginning. Finally, it loads a few more buffered seconds of video - playback continues for a few seconds, and then it cuts off again! It was very annoying. I remember trying to watch episodes of, "Family Matters" one night and it kept happening over and over! It was very irritating! Last Edited By: spinergirlkristie 05/06/09 7:44 AM. Edited 1 times.

I Goodsearched 'Buffering' and found that I needed Flash Player. It's an Adobe product, and I trust Adobe. And it's free. Since I installed it on my desktop it plays fine without the buffering. But my laptop plays the video all the way through sometimes and sometimes it still does the buffering just as you say yours does. Sometimes, if I let it play all the way through then play it the second time, and it does fine. I use Firefox and my laptop is on Windows Vista. Last Edited By: FoxyLady 05/06/09 7:59 AM. I'm not sure if the problen has anything to do with annotations because from what I've read all they are are the annoying little pop up text that people have added to the video and if I'm understanding it correctly that wouldn't require a code. However after searching I did find something has to do about an disabling annotations on embedded videos that requires a code. http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=92712 That's all I was able to find that would have anything to do with a code.... I also found this from Youtube ... Another possible reason for choppy video playback is that our servers are experiencing high traffic. If this is the case, there's not much you can do. However, we are continuously adding servers to keep up with demand and improve your experience on our site.
