As to the comments on this concert being a "circus"- I guess it is no different than some bands putting on huge light shows or having a dozen dancers flitting about on stage- neither have anything to do with the music either but all are deemed to add something to the overall concert experience. That Clay chooses to show his funny, wicked and quick sense of humour as a way to introduce some of the songs is brilliant IMO and adds so much depth and colour to the concerts.

That's what makes him special. I don't care if he doesn't do it the same way other bands/artists do it. I like the way he's doing things now, the way he wants to, not the way others do. He knows that the majority of the Claymates love the way he's touring this summer. It's different and a new flavor. I love this tour so much and I couldn't ever think of a better way to spend nights, watching all this wonderful clack. 2 2 2 2 2 2

I do understand the hesitance of the " not cool " concert but that's just what its all about, Clay being so uncool that he's well . . . the greatest performer ever. You simply have to experience it. Even the venue staff who are hating the idea of a Clay concert are saying . . . wow, why isnt this guy the biggest thing out there ?

I like to see how he rocks, he raps, hee haw dance. How about, hearing him singing the TV theme songs? Now all my imagination came in reality. He did it for reason of entertainment. He did it for fun. What a surprise! If he will consider it seriously, he can do it. He can do it all.

When it's ripped out of context it probably seems a little what the heck is he doing??! to people who don't know. lol. But you know, if I saw a utube of some singer I know nothing about doing the same thing... I'd probably smile and check out some more from them to see if that's how they perform every song lol. And in Clay's case I would find out, no, he performs different songs differently and he's also cute, funny, smart, and amazingly talented. I'd be hooked.

And, this tour has made me laugh a LOT!!! Plus, from what people have said, the men really like his humor! Also, I cannot believe that anyone watching that clip wouldn't know that was not a serious performing of that song... it's just tooooo campy to be anything but a joke. Those who are trying to do otherwise, are really stretching.

What ever happened to it just being our private Clack. Why isnt that enough anymore? These concerts are intended for those that actually purchase a ticket but because he has a kind heart he turned his head during the JBT. What a gift! A precious gift that IMO some are taking advantage of by putting concert video up on YouTube. Its pretty sad when Clay has to stop in the middle of a live concert to make reference to not putting certain material on YouTube. Its also sad that a orchestra director was put in a postion where he actually had video removed from YouTube. Clack is a privilege not a right. I don't think anyone has the right to JUDGE someone else. But that's just me. Everyone has different opinions about what they do and don't like. If people are allowed to have different opinions on his "regular" songs (ie, liking or not liking ATD) why can't people have different opinions on the campiness? It's not a knock to Clay IMO. It's just a reflection of their own likes and dislikes in regards to humor. It doesn't mean that we can't get along. For example, my roommate is one of my best friends but we have completely different takes on humor. I love sarcastic, biting battles of wit. I can get downright cruel with my guy friends especially. She on the other hand doesn't like biting sarcastic comments. She gets hurt more easily. So how do we resolve this conflict of interest? Easy...I don't get sarcastic with her. I RESPECT her difference of opinion and don't judge her for it, just as she doesn't judge me. That's key in any kind of relationship I think, be it friendship, romantic, or an online message board community....RESPECT. It has to work BOTH WAYS. And as for "hater" (i hate that word...seems like I'm back in jr high. haha) websites, I wouldn't even know about them if people here didn't always talk about them. I wouldn't know where to go to see them and I really don't care to. They're going to find something to mock Clay about whether we put the videos up on Youtube or not. I for one am not going to stop my enjoyment of his videos just because I'm afraid of them. I REFUSE to let fear and paranoia run my life. Why bother giving them the attention that they crave? So anyway, that's all I have to say. I'm sure there are others who can express themselves better than I can. But just to lighten up this post let me just say....... DAYUM THAT CLAY AIKEN IS ONE SEXY MAN!!!!! (there clay, I've said it....and i'll say it alot more if you come down to Louisiana. enter eyelash flutter here)

Which is my opinion of much of the music industry out there. Which is why I started supporting Clay from the beginning. I think it's great publicity--you get reeled in by the Sexyback song and then you are treated to Open Arms and MOAM. Youtube can be a wonderful thing--it's exposure. It can also backfire from time to time...but overall, I think this was good!
