For the most part,only those comfortable with someone's sexuality feel free to joke with them about it. Have you ever told a blonde joke to a blonde friend ? Did they laugh or did they find you totally offensive ? Was your purpose to be offensive or to share a laugh. I'm sure Clay took no offense and probably laughed right along with them. People use language for all kinds of things and sometimes raw language has its place in making someone heard or making a point or a joke. We don't live in that stressful world of journalists and comedians and artists and we aren't part of the Friar's Club. What they do there, they do in private out of love and respect for a fellow member and its not up to us to pass judgement on their ways of doing it. If you find it offensive than I guess you'll just never join the Friar's Club.

Tom Cruise also turned up for a few words to Matt and kept it clean. I'm glad Clay did not participate in the "roasting" of Matt. Isn't Matt's wife a UNICF Ambassedor? I think Clay was there as a friend of Matt and also due to the charitable side of the Friers Club. Also, if he happened to make some business connections as well then it is all good.

It is appreciated and your job is not an easy one I'm sure . The thing that I am hoping the most is that this go-round and exchanges back and forth does not go unheeded as to what needs to be & should be looked at here !! EVERY time Clay does something that his core fanbase may find a bit discerning could we not just take a loooooooooong deep breath, pause and think for a moment before getting our perverbial knickers in a knot or jumping to conclusions? Isn't there anything at all that we have learned over the past 5 years that teaches us that Clay ends up just fine at the end of it all anyway? Look at "HANDGATE", "FOOTGATE", BOOBGATE", "BABYGATE" etc... It seems that whenever we reach this outpouring of love , dedication and simplistic beauty flowing from Clay as we saw last week at the Gala , then BOOM right after it Clay does/says something that people have to decifer and pick apart , when in only a short amount of time we learn that cooler heads and taking the time to just let things work themselves out was the better way anyway ! My prayers (although I know maybe next to impossible) would be for those to learn from the past anxst and intrepidation on how things are 'perceived' to be and just to TRUST Clay & his team to let him be just who God wants him to be . When Clay closes his blogs saying that he 'loves & cherrishes us all yesterday , now & forever I just hope we can all do the same for him ! This doesn't mean we have to agree with everything he says or does , but we can just simply 'trust' in our heart of hearts that God is guiding this man's path and things really will be ok ......really !
