I liked Kimmel...a lot. That said it appears as if the same story is unwinding again. We are heading into a mini drought so the angst is being turned
on...again. I intend ot let it all go and dwell on the positive stuff and there is plenty to go around. Now I am off to the iTune store to download the
awesome OMWH single so it can be in the top again for all the world to see. Life is good...hope Clay is relaxing.

Well I know for a fact how these shows can get you all pumped up for Clay. After you stand in line for hours, anticipating his arrival, and talk with the
fans, it
does get you excited. Last year when we went to NYC to see Mike & Juliette, they had a warm up guy that stayed with us throughout the whole show... We sat on benches and froze our moons off. I am always talking on the board about my Clay Thong, well I don't even have one.....couldn't stand to wear one, it would hurt in places that I can't even find. Anyway, someone said.....Tell them about your thong Strolly....I died! Then the producers came running out and wanted me to do a segment with Clay about the dang thong. Nooooooooooo, forget that buster, I'm not doing that to myself or to Clay.... I sucked the fun out of that room for awhile..... Thank you Jesus for not letting me get caught up in the hype of that thing. They push and push, so I can understand some doing these things. I feel bad for the fans that have to take this ripping now. Its not completely their fault, but it is embarassing. I don't want any kudos for this, I am just saying it for the fans that were talked into this. Note to self: Am I still gonna respect myself in the morning? |

Like I said I loved the interview on Kimmel, I've recorded every interview he's done this past promo period and I will watch them over and over.
Clay brings a smile to my face.....he lights up a room.....and he's an interviewers dream guest! I love Clay! BTW My husband watched the interview (I didn't say a thing) and he said he enjoyed it and thought the outfit was great! Did anyone noticed that Clay did send a little love our way........he ran his hand through his hair! Love it!! |

I agree and think his clothes were fantastic and his hair color is growing on me but would like to see it wavy. His relaxed dimeaner is
wonderful and he's sooooo cute.

When I see Clay on various shows where his fans are and the camera pans the audience, I'm pretty sure I see mostly middle age and older fans. When I go to his concerts this is also the demographics that I see. Sure, he does have some younger fans but I am pretty sure they do not make up the majority and in this day and age when you are over 30 you are already considered older. I don't expect to see primarily teens that are attending Clay's performances. Am I the only one who sees this? I am pretty sure that the type of music Clay sings is also targeted for a more mature audience. I'm not saying that there are NO young fans, just that they do not make up the majority. As for the Clay bust skit, I didn't take offense to it. |

I no longer enjoy these threads AFTER the shows air. I don't come here to listen to complaints, I come here to enjoy Clay and to celebrate his
accomplishments as we were always able to do in the past. I thought he was gorgeous, articulate and witty. I liked his hair and his clothing and skin and
eyebrows. I loved his singing of his beautiful new single and a teasing sample of another great song from his terrific new album which he dedicated to US, his
"fans", and no one else. I am so grateful for this wonderful album and the time and energy it took to prepare it.
I have no NEED to criticize anything about Clay and don't know why people think we want to hear their criticism, as if they themselves were perfect and all knowing. I don't think Clay is perfect, but am secure enough to not need to pull him down or overanalyze him. I know that I am not perfect, and I don't expect Clay to be. He is who and what he is. I just want him to be himself and I will enjoy every minute of the time that he is willing to share with me. And for those who say this is what message boards are for (when posting something not favorable), I would like to know where that is written. There was a time on this board when we didn't have to tear Clay apart, and yet we were functioning very well as a message board, thank you. All my opinion of course. Perhaps I am living in the past...but I liked it there. End of pissy Trudy rant. |

2claylu4evr wrote:I did just that, so to speak. Just got back from a pre-prom party at a student's house with about 12 kids going to prom. I took more pictures than I take of Clay!! They had a limo there for the kids, and my son drove his date to the prom in his dad's jaguar. We're talking high society for these kids!! I got to get in a limo for the first time ever!! Felt kind of good to step away from Clay stuff for a couple of hours and think on other things, like my son who graduates in just a few weeks. We are primarily older fans, aren't we? I don't really think this is a stereotype. When I see Clay on various shows where his fans are and the camera pans the audience, I'm pretty sure I see mostly middle age and older fans. As for the Clay bust skit, I didn't take offense to it.Yes, Clay does have mostly older fans. He has a big mix of all ages (and a heart big enough for all of us), but mostly a little bit older ladies (who are young at heart). For those out there in music/media land who think we are too old to be fans, I'd like to see what would happen if they got rid of all the middle aged people who are employed in some way/shape or form in the music industry. I'll bet it would be a whole lot smaller. So if they are needed, then why not older fans? We are important too. |
