What a wild day.
I don't know how much has been reported. I suppose it may have been aired east coast already? In the audience we first saw Matthew Fox and that was kinda cool. It was a pretape for Tuesday. Then they had the show for tonight. While in line, they did 2 skits. One was the lemonaide one which Clayfans were sold lemoniade by Guermo (spelling?) for $8 a glass. It was hot outside but the line was mostly in the shade. I am slightly sunburned though. That skit was having me bust up laughing as they were filming though. The second one was with a bust that was crafted of Clay's face. Several people said things or whatever to the bust (keeping in mind to keep it PG...not that I would say anything worse than PG...shifty eyes...). I think I said something lame like "you look more sculpted in person Clay!" I was giggling, blushing so bad, and shy so thank goodness mine as cut. There was one controversial one and thank the lord they did not use it. I won't go into it, but it wasn't nice. There was also an attractive chick that made out with it pretty good that didn't get used. They had to wash the mouth of the bust off with something before giving it to him. That was amusing. In the holding area, they were showing the anniversary special. The cheers when they showed the Clay beating up Kimmel was really loud. They also showed some funny stuff. The studio itself had seating which was sort of a crapshoot. I was just glad to be there though. Warm up guy was just ok and the band was ok. Secrest was just ok. He went on and on about that grid thingy he follows. He also plugged his shows. It was mildly amusing when he did the torturous announcing of the American Idol thingy. In the lean in to the commercial after Ryan, they showed Clay in the tv sceens and we all cheered so loudly. Clay had couch time. It was a nice interview and I quite frankly am in a fog. The part I do remember beside the bust sketch (he was laughing really good during it) was there was this picture with him and the Spam girls. He had this (self described and it fits) "Flock of Seaguls" hair and the girls were all 80s. That was something else. Seems he had a blast and that is cool. For the concert, I was in the boonies but still in the building so it was ok. He did OMWH. It was nice. Then he did "Ashes." I am still grinning because he really rocked it out with that. Since it looks like it will be a while since the dude will do things again, it was a blessing to have seen him perform. |

that was short, but sweet. he sounds hoarse. poor fella.. i think that cali air always makes him sound that way. hopefully they really will put ashes up cuz i really want to see that one.
