I did stand up several times for Charice but I don't think it was 17 times. My butt would have hurt by then. I want'd to stay standing for Clay but my daughter would not let me.

Perhaps the newspaper confused the number of ovations with her age (17). Could it be that a newspaper might get its facts wrong?? ;-0

A big Thank You to everyone involved in bringing us this video and thanks to Joy2talk2U for doing the iPod conversion. Clay's voice and interpretation of songs just keep getting better and better. UM is my favorite song that Clay sings and I'm so glad that he hasn't recorded it yet. This rendition blew me away. The studio version would be so potent, it should probably be illegal.

Impressive record of "Unchained Melody". Thanks for all the research, lilred. I haven't heard 600 versions, but Clay's is fabulous! Smart move by Paul McCartney as a good song lives on forever!

I realized that I didn't know much about the history of Unchained Melody except that
it came from the movie Unchained in the '50s, and the Righteous Brothers had a big hit
with it a few years later. Also that it was used highly effectively in the movie Ghost ...

I am finally catching up after returning from Las Vegas and So. Calif., and haven't had a chance to see any of the videos. My heartfelt thanks to all of those who took the videos, and those who have converted and posted them. And the stills are beautiful! The show was amazing...I took my 92 year old mom to see it and she loved it as much as I did even though she was up waaayyyy after her bedtime!
